Dear Citizens,

       Each year the Parker Volunteer Fire Department continues to provide reliable services to our
community.  These services include everything from fire suppression and fire safety, to food drives
for the citizens in our community.  The Parker Fire Department Inc. services we provide are absolutely
vital for the well being of the community.  Through these programs we have seen many lives changed for the better.

 

       The members of the Parker Volunteer Fire Department continue to work to help make a
difference in the lives of the people we serve.  Each and every member of our community is affected
in one way or another by services that we provide to help make this a safer and better place to live.
Great advances have been made in our department over the past three years to better serve you, for
example, the amount of mandatory training has increased, new fire gear was purchased thanks to a
grant from the FEMA, and the new fire station was built with the Indiana Office Rural Affairs Grant
along with the help of Parker City.

        However, continued advances need to be made in our department due to our aging fleet of fire
trucks and equipment.  This poses a challenge to a department of our size because of the ever increasing
prices of fire trucks and emergency equipment.

        Today you can make an immediate difference in the future of the Parker Volunteer Fire Department.
Each dollar that you send will be put towards updating our fire trucks and emergency equipment.  This
up to date equipment will have a great effect on many lives throughout our community.  I hope we can
